Been a while…

July 21st, 2008 by lisa

…since I last posted but there really hasn’t been much to post about. I’ve been really busy with work and trying to get everything sorted before we got to France next Sunday.

I have managed to put together a few LOs for SISTV this week. The first I put together as an example for the challenge I hosted here. The girls produced some amazing LOs!

This LO I put together using someone else’s challenge. The challenge was to ’shop’ for 3 products to use from the list given. I used cardboard, tape of any kind, and using ’summer’ in the title. I’m not so in love with the photo of me but it was an amazing day at Hard Rock Calling that it had to be captured on a LO.

I’m really loving all this new arty type of LOs that I am producing at the moment. I can’t believe the kind of LOs I used to produce when I first started out.

I have also produced this card for Easy Craft Projects using Decopatch papers. I’m really enjoying these Decopatch projects as they are completely different to anything else I’ve done.

Today is mine and John’s 4th anniversary so Happy Anniversary Babe! I’m actually busy at Brownies after work - it’s the last meeting before the summer so we’re having a girly fashion party

Two Challenge Blogs…

July 9th, 2008 by lisa

Here are a couple of LOs I have produced for Gutter Girlz and This is Me Journal.

The first is for Gutter Girlz. This is ‘Junkie’. My worst vice is my love for chocolate. It is the one thing I can’t resist and this page is all about that.

This LO is for This is Me Journal. ‘In My Fridge’ is pretty much self-explanatory. I’m loving this new bright and funky LO. I’ve even used a strip of black gaffer tape on it lol.

Hope you like them.

Hard Rock Calling Pictures

July 8th, 2008 by lisa

As promised (if a little late) I have finally edited some of the pictures I took at Hard Rock Calling. I’m surprised at how reasonably they came out seeing as many of them had to be taken with me just holding my camera above my head and hoping for the best.

Here is Jason Mraz. I now LOVE his music. I had never heard of him before but I am so happy I got to see him play live. It’s just that feel good summery music that I love.

The super talented (even if my OH thinks he is an insanely huge cock) John Mayer.

Here’s Sheryl Crow. I always liked her music but I wasn’t a huge fan. We were both surprised at how many songs we actually knew word for word! She’s also been through so much and is still sweet and loving life.

The one and only Eric Clapton! He was great the first time we saw him but to see him this time infront of thousands of people all singing along to his songs was amazing! His playing was amazing and the ending when he brought on Sheryl Crow, John Mayer and Robert Randolph to perform was the highlight.

By the way, you can check out some music from the artists who played there in the music player on the left of this screen.

What do you think?

July 2nd, 2008 by lisa

My blog has had a brand new makeover thanks to Scrapblog. It was introduced to me at SIS and I’m so glad that I did it. I think it is much more funkier now.

Speaking of funky, these are two layouts I recently did:

I’m loving all this doodling. Both were challenges for SIS. If you haven’t checked out the site before I would really recommend it because it has got me scrapping like mad recently and I’m loving it.

Happy Birthday Paper Trunk

July 1st, 2008 by lisa

I have no photos still. I am super busy doing everything I probably should have been doing a week ago but never mind. I will get them online asap I promise (main reason is I want to check out if any of the concert ones came out clear enough to scrap with).

Bit of diverting here but Paper Trunk is 1 whole year old today so Happy Birthday! They have some yummy scrapbooking supplies that I really should order. Oh pay day, why are you not here yet?!

Easy Craft Projects has my latest project online now - this cute little keyring. Go see how I made it. Plus, I can officially announce that our sponsor for July is www.miliati.co.uk. Go check them out and I should have some funky new projects using their products in the next few days.
